MEET THE TEAM
Legends don't retire. They put on flag belts and dance.

Head Coach
"Iron Donna" Donna Fiori
Led the Sallys from a book club argument to a flag football dynasty. Donna's coaching philosophy is simple: play hard, dance harder, and never let anyone tell you what you can't do after 40.
Fun fact: The book club still hasn't forgiven her for what happened at the 2023 meeting.
The Roster
Eleven women. Unlimited talent. Questionable flexibility.

Brenda Martinez
"Big Play"
Former PTA president turned gridiron general. Brenda calls audibles the way she calls emergency bake sale meetings -- with absolute authority and zero room for debate.
Fun fact: Once threw a 40-yard spiral while holding a latte. Did not spill.

Tina Chen
"Touchdown"
Runs routes sharper than her carpool schedule. Tina's combination of speed, precision, and the ability to change direction mid-stride makes her virtually uncoverable.
Fun fact: Has never missed a school pickup or an end zone. Priorities.

Karen O'Brien
"The Manager"
Will absolutely speak to the referee's manager. Karen anchors the offensive line with the same energy she brings to a homeowner's association meeting -- relentless, organized, and slightly terrifying.
Fun fact: Has been ejected from three games for excessive ref coaching.

Linda Johansson
"Lightning"
The fastest woman in the school pickup line is also the fastest on the field. Linda's elusiveness in the open field is matched only by her ability to avoid volunteer sign-up sheets.
Fun fact: Ran a 4.8 forty at age 44. In cleats she borrowed from her daughter.

Deborah Washington
"The Wall"
Nothing gets past Deborah. Nothing. Not a blitzing linebacker, not an expired coupon, not a child trying to sneak screen time past bedtime. An immovable force.
Fun fact: Bench presses 185 lbs and the emotional weight of three teenagers.

Patty Kowalski
"Precision"
Catches everything -- footballs, her kids sneaking cookies, and the attention of every scout in the league. Patty's hands are so reliable the team considered insuring them.
Fun fact: Zero career drops. Also zero tolerance for tardiness.

Sally Nguyen
"The General"
Retired drill sergeant. Still terrifying. Sally reads offensive formations the way she reads insubordination -- instantly and with extreme prejudice. The defensive captain and spiritual leader of the Sallys.
Fun fact: The team is not actually named after her. She just lets people think it is.

Maureen Wells
"Mo Diggity"
A gifted natural athlete who holds five USPA state powerlifting records and is a certified personal trainer. Mo brings the same intensity to the field that she brings to raising two elite young sportsmen. Her older son dominates on the football field and lacrosse pitch. Her younger son is already making waves in football and baseball. She covers receivers with the same tireless energy she uses managing a household of athletes -- and somehow still makes it look effortless.
Fun fact: Married to an absolutely outstanding husband. His words, but she doesn't disagree.

Sandra Williams
"Sticky Fingers"
Four interceptions in one game. Three kids in one minivan. Sandra's ball-hawking instincts are supernatural -- she sees a pass before the quarterback even throws it.
Fun fact: Intercepted a pass intended for a player 15 years younger. Didn't even celebrate. Just jogged back.

Dr. Michelle Park
"The Surgeon"
An actual board-certified surgeon by day, surgically precise in pass coverage by weekend. Michelle diagnoses offensive plays the way she diagnoses patients -- quickly, accurately, and with zero margin for error.
Fun fact: Once pulled a flag so cleanly the runner didn't realize it happened for three steps.

Rachel Torres
"Red Zone"
A former volleyball player who converted her net skills to the gridiron. Rachel's 5'11" frame and jumping ability make her a matchup nightmare in the red zone. Linebackers fear her. Safeties respect her. Her book club still won't forgive her for joining Donna's team.
Fun fact: Has scored in every game this season. Also brings the best halftime snacks.
